Re: CSX Train Location Updates: October, 2020.
N801-30 was at Bangor on Oct 31st @ 03:11:05am with the BNSF #8560 & the 2nd BNSF engine could be seen having decals on it. Can't really read the trailing engine numbers at night with the Bangor cam but it did appear the last 2 digits were 72. Someone had mentioned yesterday the BNSF #5872 Heritage engine was running, so, this might have been him.

Re: CSX Train Location Updates: October, 2020.
Empty coal train at West Olive appears to be ready to depart soon. CSX units 579 & 7230 (either a brand new loco or a fresh repaint. I wish it were leading!), and BNSF units 6343 & 9211. Currently stopped at the 152nd Ave crossing with a crew van parked nearby.

Re: CSX Train Location Updates: October, 2020.
Overnight, a G09730 crew took a grain train empty by Howell west at 0:205 with CSX 322+540 and 87 cars. GLC went south through Howell just prior to its passing with 67 cars for Ann Pere with 396+397, They quickly came over on to CSX to put them in the Howell pass and pick up the 44 cars D708 sat off on Thursday. Evidently, GLC left the 51 cars they picked up at Ann Pere on Wednesday, (shortly after D708 put them there) and held them on the main line south of town with 383 to hold the air on the cars. Both pick ups were combined. The current 67 cars in the Howell pass, if things going according to the norm of late, will sit there until Tuesday. At this rate, the 71 cars for GLC that has been sitting in the Brighton pass since Monday will sit there even longer.

E801 empty coal train JT described earlier slow clear North Wye Holland at 11:28. GP30M4216 was thinking he had more time and watched the train go by from the car wash on Lakewood

I’m currently at the 55th Ave crossing and heard 326’s horn about 15 min ago. Nothing since. Had to shut down the online scanner to enable the WiFi on my camera. Have they gone into Wells? I did hear that e801 is planning on stopping at the WE of East Saugatuck, but I’m not sure if that’s to let 326 pass or because of an apparent broken rail on the hill (327 reported no issues when they went through).

D801-30 (not E801-28) just reported from mp CG28 @ 11:48am. Q326 is stopped on the main at Wells. The broken rail is just west of the west end of Saugatuck mp CG33. Q326 is 248 feet longer than the Sauagatuck Siding (5,000 feet) & most likely the empty coal train is to go into Wells siding since a loaded coal train had tied down inside Grand Junction Siding after passing by Bangor at 03:11am this morning.J T wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 11:34 amI’m currently at the 55th Ave crossing and heard 326’s horn about 15 min ago. Perfect sunshine today and still a little bit of fall color left, and I’m getting skunked by a broken rail. Oh well, there’s always next year.

I think you will see them go to Brighton and take at least some of those cars to AP on Monday.BL2-1843 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 10:20 amOvernight, a G09730 crew took a grain train empty by Howell west at 0:205 with CSX 322+540 and 87 cars. Re: CSX Train Location Updates: October, 2020.
D801-30 @ 1:03pm westward signaled main to siding at the east end of Wells mp CG41.4 with CSX engines #579 + #7230 + BNSF engines #6343 + #9211 & most likely has 130 empty coal cars. Crew is reporting they only have about 20 minutes on duty time left.
Q326-31 is waiting at Wells on the main to make his move.
D801-30 @ 1:15pm was advised by Dispatch to tie their train down inside Wells siding & the "E" crew should be there in about 1 hour. The "E" crew will also be disconnecting the 2 CSX engines & putting them inside the west end of Grand Junction siding mp CG55.6 to be the DPU's for N801-30 that's tied down inside Grand Junction.

Re: CSX Train Location Updates: October, 2020.
For those staring at green signals eastbound in South Lyon, D70620 is currently going through downtown Brighton with CSX 751+595+3329 in that order and all on the head end. Had 171 cars out of Lansing with a long string of empty stone cars on the rear. Had no trouble going up the hill at Ann Pere from a dead stop, even with no DPU.

Re: CSX Train Location Updates: October, 2020.
Q326-31 update @ 2:18pm: the Track Dept was following D801-30 as he was approaching Saugatuck & it appears Q326 is waiting for the broken rail to be repaired before he can continue eastward. Q326 needs a good running speed to get over the Saugatuck Hill. Q326 has CSX engines #817 + #2652 & 95 cars & rear engine CSX #3395 (the CSX #2652 is in tow). There's also talk Q326 might have to get re-crewed.
Q326-31 update @ 2:25pm: the Track Dept needs about 15 minutes more time to make measurements & they're going to move him without the need for a re-crew.
Q326-31 @ 2:54pm eastward on the move from the east end of Wells siding mp CG41.4
