Re: CSX Location Updates - Sept 2021
D801-30 @ 13:01 eastward reported by the DD mp CG44.2 with 536 axles & 7,179 ft. BNSF engines #9204 + #6243 & 128 loaded coal cars & rear CSX engines #3167 + #3440 This was N800-27 that was tied down in Grand Jct siding mp CG54 on 9/29. Update: for some reason, they had decided to take the rear BNSF #9204 & make him the leading engine & had placed the CSX power as rear dpu's. Thank you MQT1223 for viewing the train & reporting
Q327-30 @ 13:10 westward reported by DD mp CG91.9 with 562 axles & 7,453 ft. CSX engines #836 + #825 & 136 cars & rear dpu CSX #3182.

hey Donnie....you wrote "326 and 327 will not work waverly anymore"...what's that all about? will they just run straight through now? will their cars be brought to GR to be hooked up or dropped off?

Re: CSX Location Updates - Sept 2021
To elaborate on what Max said, D700’s on duty location was changed back to Grand Rapids instead of Holland. They will now shuttle all of the local traffic between Holland and Grand Rapids. As a result, Q326 and Q327 will no longer have to stop.SteveHiuzenga wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 1:34 pmhey Donnie....you wrote "326 and 327 will not work waverly anymore"...what's that all about? will they just run straight through now? will their cars be brought to GR to be hooked up or dropped off?

Is this a different coal train then? Because I just chased one to West Olive with 9204 leading.

They for some reason must have changed the order around, how were the engines configured when they went by there? I had to run out & wasn't able to view the Holland cam.MQT1223 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 2:24 pmTom49801 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 1:03 pmD801-30 @ 13:01 eastward reported by the DD mp CG44.2 with 536 axles & 7,179 ft. 9204 followed by 6243 elephant style and the CSX power on the rear, NO BNSF DPU.Tom49801 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 2:26 pmThey for some reason must have changed the order around, how were the engines configured when they went by there? On a side note, there’s a Holland Cam?

The city of Holland has a live cam but connects for only 10 minutes & you have to refresh the site, etc. Once there scroll down the page a bit for the cam that shows the Holland Station. https://www.cityofholland.com/645/MIHollandCAMMQT1223 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 2:30 pm9204 followed by 6243 elephant style and the CSX power on the rear, NO BNSF DPU.

Q326 headed East past Glenlord Rd, Stevensville right now. Loaded set of double stack cars behind the locomotives. A rare sight around here.

Well that must be on the wrong train.
What’s the power like on this train?

D700-30 @ 14:48 westward Bangor's Center St crossing mp CG60.35 with CSX engine #4016 + #2800 & 28 cars (7 Tanks + 21 CH). He had slowed while going by Bangor & may be going into Gross Siding mp CG61.3 to clear up for Q326. I'm also hearing a meet at Kirk with him & Q326. Also heard Q326 may have a High/Wide car to set off at Kirk or Gross.

Q326-30 @ 16:22:44 eastward Bangor's Division St crossing mp CG60.93 with CSX engines #7009 + #72 (elephant style) & 114 cars. Rewound & manually counted the cars for any shared trucks (there were) - wow, 5 double stack container cars!

Re: CSX Location Updates - Sept 2021
Very interesting to see the five double stack international 40ft containers on Q326/30. I assume they're going to Grand Rapids. Not sure how/when they'll get unloaded or where they'll end up. Anyone have any information or sees anything, please post here. I, for one, would love to see Grand Rapids become an intermodal terminal - that one train has potentially taken twenty trucks off I-94 and I-196 (assuming they are loaded and will return empty or being staged for future loads). Maybe someone could start a new thread so we don't clutter up this thread?

Re: CSX Location Updates - Sept 2021
Easy bro. The routing information is incorrect and they were simply sent on the wrong train. They either will continue to Detroit on D706 or will go back to Chicago on Q327.NickLittle wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 4:55 pmVery interesting to see the five double stack international 40ft containers on Q326/30.
