It was fun to catch GRHC trackside in Zeeland and catch up a bit! Y121 used the MJ stub east of the VdB switch to shove the boxcar while they set off their one covered hopper for Van Den Bosch, a silver car with BN reporting marks and a 1980 build date. Then they gathered their train back together for the trip up the Fremont Sub to switch Endeavor, drop 2 coal hoppers for the helper set, and setoff one boxcar at Stow. Busy day for 6508 in Zeeland!

Y121 south at Riley St. Holland 6:30 PM.

19:10 - L303 east through South Lyon.

They had passed the signals at Okemos Rd. at 17:58, Asahi Kasei in Fowlerville at 18:30, and Brighton's EE at 19:00, this after taking the siding at Trowbridge to meet L305 and L302.
L305 passed Trowbridge's EE at 17:24 and L302 passed Okemos Rd. at 17:43. 4045 was dropped at Ensel to be paired with 8095 which was solo on L305 again today.

L302-02 by Howell at 16:45 with 37 cars and 975 + 3399 on the head end. 3399 had been with 3025 a few weeks ago. L305 turned at Fowlerville today. Kids under the Red Cedar River bridge west of town pelted the locomotive with rocks going east, and believed damaged a window. When going back west had railroad ties on the bridge which they hit but knocked them off. Kids were still there some 90 minutes later. RN has called this in twice. L302 now approaching at super slow speed and reported tracks were clear and no trespassers seen.

L302-02 @ 20:02 westward reported by the Defect Detector mp CH104.3 Mulliken, Mi with 210 axles. CSX engines #975 + #3399 + #8095(??) & 48 cars. He had work in Lansing. From the axle math he has 3 engines, CSX engine #4045 was assumed to be set off in Lansing by today's L303 & possibly CSX engine #8095 was picked up by tonight's L302.

May be quarterly inspection time for #8095 which was speculated as being the reason why CSX engine #4045 ended up being taken from Lansing on Jan 29th by L302-29 & sent to Chicago by M327-30 on Jan 30th & returned to Lansing today by L303.

Hello Gary, his 3 engines are from yesterday's M326-01 & that's the order they had arrived in Grand Rapids. The #4045 was paired up with the #8095 in Lansing & assigned to L304/L305 & was taken to Chicago on M327 on Jan 30th, guessing it was quarterly inspection time for that engine.

Hello Gary, his 3 engines are from yesterday's M326-01 & that's the order they had arrived in Grand Rapids. The #4045 was paired up with the #8095 in Lansing & assigned to L304/L305 & was taken to Chicago on M327 on Jan 30th, guessing it was quarterly inspection time for that engine.

M327 doesn't run on the weekends, my error. I had posted what the Rouge Tower Dispatcher had said to L302 without realizing myself it was the weekend.

Revised @ 17:36: R598-03 @ 17:05 copied their EC1 to depart the power plant in West Olive, Mi mp CGP 1.0 & diverge onto the Fremont sub-div with CSX engines #3293 + #3201 lite power lite power headed to Grand Jct siding mp CG54 to pick up loaded coal train C800-01 that had tied down there last night. On their way back to the power plant they will stop at the Harlem Siding mp CGC28.7 on the Fremont sub-division to pick up some loaded coal cars from there.
