Amtrak Holly Sub update for those of you not reading the Amtrak thread today.

351 had sticking brakes on a coach so backed up to Pontiac. They set off two coaches on the depot track and combined 351 with 353, which left Pontiac about two and a half hours late. The two coaches are still in Pontiac. 350, which is running today, arrived ah hour or so late at Pontiac. 355 departed on time with two Chargers, one on each end, leaving no spare locomotive in Pontiac (there maybe is no room for one with the two Venture coaches on its storage track).

116 went past MP 22.5 on the Holly at 3:20 pm. Stacks on the rear.

As far as I know as of this reply, it's working Flint. Not sure how long they'll be there.

Alright cool! My friend (Roger) is headed to Michigan Road overpass in Port Huron now! There he will photograph this train for me!!!! Does anyone know how many WC switchers were sold to BUGX? Does CN still have some left working? Where is this engine headed?

bluewonderrails, my friend (Roger) has been in Port Huron for over three hours! He got an eastbound CN, missed the westbound CSX to Flint, caught 382 and now another eastbound that just arrived! A westbound will do Customs inspection now! But, where is train 492? I am sure it departed Flint a while ago, right? Roger is currently parked atop the Michigan Road overpass waiting for 492 with the ex WC switcher!!!!!

CN 8928 and 5749 north at Royal Oak.

What was maybe 251 just went past MP 22.5 at 6:38 pm. A lot of mixed freight including snap track switches in gondolas. Shorter train. Two units, only first one running. The conductor was headed back into the lead unit on the walkway as it went by. Got distracted so I missed the rear end to see if there were containers or not, which would make it 507 (and it is around the time for 507).

507 is working at Moterm. CN 8015 and 8835.

Departing at 1906.

Well, friend Roger left the spot atop the Michigan Road overpass waiting for 492 with the ex WC switcher!!!!! It never came! Somehow it was missed! Or, did 492 stop in Flint for the night?

Learned from a friend it had been dropped off in Flint then added to L508 before heading to Flat Rock

OK, did the ex WC switcher head down to Flat Rock yet? Does L508 run only weekdays? Will it be taken to Flat Rock tomorrow, Aug. 7? Where is its final destination? Seems like it could go to Ohio! Hopefully not LTEX for "Scrap!" I'd guess a grain elevator will lease this engine! Does anyone here know?

All is quiet today on the Holly Sub so far today. Only the two morning Amtraks so far. I am waiting for 350 to pass by soon if it is on time. No freights yet today. Rained all morning, supposed to start raining again soon.

You'll get racks-first Q116 in due time. As of this post, per ATCS, it's lined to mp252.9 on the Flint subdivision. A couple SD75Is leading it. Appeared on mp205 cam at 14:17. Nothing it met since Charlotte, MI, so it's a little slow today.

15:42 -- Q116 at Bancroft and lined along Chicago Wye SB

16:09 -- Q116 approaching Gaines

Eastbound by Trowbridge at 1622

116 following Amtrak 355 down the Hill passing MP 22.5 on the Holly at 5:49 pm. First freight train of the day on the Holly.

251 is passing MP 22.5 on the Holly at 6:22 pm.

M394 east clear mp216 at 20:50. CN #3819 + UP #7637 (ff) + CN #8908 + mid dpu BNSF #3845.

507 and 508 passed each other out back at MP 22.5 around 8 pm. If 508 had that WC switcher, it was not on the headend where it usually is shipped (didn't think to watch the whole train pass looking for it, sorry).

A 513 went SB around 9 pm.

Never heard or saw Amtrak 352 last night but it probably slipped by me running a bit late. Should be no 350 or 353 running today per the summer schedule.

SB 515 with 5430 just went past MP 22.5 at 8:43 pm. Eight UP/SP/ETC boxcars for Chrysler, three gondolas for DCON, some tanks and a lot of loaded centerbeams today.
