"Dead Cowls" are roaming out some more! Well, BCOL 4619 was last spotted today (4-28 at 9:48 AM), Chicago (Mount Carmel), IL going north (posted by 4501 4ever)! It is stated "3rd of 6. Also BCOL 4620 running 5 of 6 and CN432 6 of 6!" OK, I don't think these BCOL C40-8Ms are running! Right???? :?: He probably means "CN 2432!!!!!" I suppose these are all "Dead!!!!" The previous post (yesterday by Roadmaster) states "IC 1025 9569 in CN paint 5652 BCOL 4619 CN 2125 BCOL 4620 and CN 2432 leading a mixed freight eastbound on the Matteson Sub. 4619 2125 4620 and 2432 will likely be ferried to Waterloo on tomorrows M337." Is this the end for these? MAN!!!! CN is really clearing out Homewood and other places fast! It won't be long now!!!! 😲 😮 😮 🤯 😭 😱 🙁 ☹️ 😢 😢 😭 😭

...Now, could we get "Heads Up" before they arrive from either Canada or Homewood, IL?
that's what this thread is for :)

I'll provide any updates as I get them
Of course this thread is for that! Thank You! Now, we haven't been able to get good "Heads Up" before pass through the tunnel from Canada! Maybe I will ask some Canadian guys on Facebook®!!!! But, I would like to know ahead of time when they are on the way (incl. Homewood)! Maybe a trip to Battle Creek is in order soon!

NB Train 515 with 5430 is passing MP 22.5 on the Holly at 2:51 pm in a pouring rain. Lot of interesting older boxcars in the mix, four loaded scrap cars from DCON, two brand new TPLX hoppers (for scrap?) and the usual other stuff.

Just passed MP 22.5 on the Holly. A lot of jumbo covered hoppers of the same ownership symbol (forgot it already) on the head end.

    Oh man! This "Scrapping" has to stop!!!! Even another train last night (4-28) east through Griffith, IN at 7:48 p.m. CN L515 to Belmont, NS had BCOL "Cowl" 4603, listed on "Heritage Units!" This guy (Roadmaster) lists "IC 1000 1037 in CN paint CN 5438 BCOL 4603 CN 2037 2108 2005 leading." I can only presume four trailing Dash 8 "Variants" will be taken to "Scrap!" Maybe more will be set out at Battle Creek! Does anyone know? :?: 😲 😮 😮 🤯 😭 😱 🙁 ☹️ 😢 😢 😭 😭
Looks like a guy could take me to BC in June, but the "Cowls" etc. probably will be gone!

UPDATE: BCOL 4603 was spotted heading west on train 337, Griffith, IN at 10:01 a.m. Reported by Roadmaster fan on "Heritage Units!" He lists these: "CN 8917 8864 BCOL 4603 CN 2037 2108 2005 leading" Train 337 has been taking old units to scrap in Iowa much recently! Guess they aren't going to Battle Creek!!!!! What about the ones at BC? Suppose those will depart soon! As David Collins mentioned "They have started sending them out, a couple at a time, to Council Bluffs, Iowa for scrapping."
😲 😮 😮 🤯 😭 😱 🙁 ☹️ 😢 😢 😭 😭

Have we heard anything about this, “GT HU” coming back to Michigan, yet? I would have figured he should’ve started making his return trip back west from Canada.

From Toronto? It can go anywhere from there.

EB Q116 with CN 8865/CN 88## holding at Mill. They set their racks off at Cory Yard today and only have intermodal for Moterm now.

Just as 116 started pulling away from Cory an eb passed them on m2 with 3 cn. It was mostly tanks and a good size train.

Passed MP 22.5 on the Holly at around 4:10 pm on Main 2, right after 116 went by the other way on Main 1.

Train 507 is slowly rolling past MP22.5 at 5:22 pm probably blocked ahead by departing Amtrak 355 in Pontiac.
