Haven't quite kept track, but I think this is close to maybe fourth time(?) in a row that an L304/L305 engine was taken to GR to be spun and brought back the next day. I'd like to figure that by now, directional information would be provided ahead of time to prevent that, as #8887 could've easily been spun prior to it's arrival to Lansing.

That’s not how Tomorrow Moves. They can only react, not proact. Same reason grain trains show up with 2 west facing units, even though everyone knows those trains load and then go back east. The next terminal(s) down the road couldn’t care less if some engine isn’t facing the right way for Lansing, and they probably aren’t even aware of it. The only reason Lansing gets to have a nice pair of back to back engines is because local management takes care of those crews.
