08:15 - EB Q116 with CN 8817/CN 2690 and an ex-Algoma Central, ex-WC transfer caboose and some racks and stacks today is thru Charlotte
OK, are these the P.T.C. "Test" cabooses? :?: If not, why are they coming here? :?: Where are they going? :?: Or, will these possibly be used for that "Donation Special" with CN "GTW Heritage" 8952 on January 20th? :?: It is cool to see cabooses any chance we get in 2024!!!!
I think the caboose that's on Q116 will come up on L507 to Flint which should be on the Donation Train.

Amtrak 350 just passed MP 22.5 on the Holly at 4:28 pm, two and a half hours late today. It had an extra car and a locomotive on each end, which will help it in leaving Pontiac as 355 in an hour.

Man of course I was really hoping to see this "Whaley Donation Train!!!!" A local CN worker based out of Torrey ('Bristol') Yard near Flint made all the arrangements for this train! CN didn't approve the run I read! I also read that the Weather affected this! Man, you cannot always rely on the Weather to be good─especially in Winter in Michigan!!!! Hopefully this train will run! I was going to make it and photograph that cool train!!!! Man, CN caboose #76665 even went to Flint to be ready to be used!!!! What will happen to the plans and this caboose? I also see train 515 changed locomotives to a CN SD60 and not GTW 4906!!!! Alrighty, I will probably try and catch CN "GTW Heritage" SD70M-2 #8952 hopefully departing Flat Rock north on train 507 Saturday January 13 afternoon!!!!! Will this power set likely stay on this train?

OK, where did the "PTC Test" caboose, WC 14, go now? Geez, supposedly CN/BCOL "Cowls" etc. are going to Chicago Heights Processing® for "Scrap!!!!" 😡 😡 😡 😡 😡 Is that place still operating? Someone mentioned they shut down! Man, so many unanswered questions!!!!

I bike rode to the tracks in the first 2024 "Frosty Snow" today and caught local 515 with CN SD60 #5447 and 9 cars! It cleared Masonic Road, Fraser, southbound roughly 9:47 a.m. Too bad 515 still isn't using GTW 4906!!!! OK, maybe I can catch both 4906 or CN (GTW) 8952 today on the Holly Sub. or somewhere Saturday!!!!

Here's a video of Amtrak® 350 and CN 507 with CN (GTW) 8952 leading in Royal Oak─my comment appears (©Michigan Railfan Films): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rx9yApnYM64

 Folks, CN "GTW Heritage" SD70M-2 #8952 is now leading an empty "Sand Train" from W&LE!!!! Is this the train that works to CSX "Dearborn (Rougemere) Yard?" It was spotted on "Heritage Units" (by NemoTrainz) at 11:35 a.m. January 11, Monroe, MI, heading north! Description about: "Leading empty unit sand that came from Wheeling & Lake Erie."   Did the train reach its destination? Which train symbol is this? Where will it head next? Or is it too late to venture out and catch? Will this power go back on northbound train 507 today? But how did the power get from Flat Rock to Monroe? The power must have gone to Toledo since arriving at Flat Rock after midnight! I am checking the Fort Street Webcam too! What will happen next? :?: WOW!!!! 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲 😲

CN "GTW Heritage" 8952 H.U. link: https://heritageunits.com/locomotive/detail/CN8952

UPDATE: This is a "Seasonal Sand Loads" train S756 between Chicago/Toledo and reverse! Just spoke with "Flying Eagle!!!!" It will head through Royal Oak on its way west! I will go out to RO to Capture this train! Wish me luck! Looks like 8952 will not return for train 507! 😉
