Update on Grand Elk southbound @ 10:26 pm, not sure what happened to the train as I horn faint but distinctive horns were heard in the Wyoming Area
Was sitting at 68th street, and about 35-40 minutes after you posted that, no horns, no engines, no nothing. Checked up at the railroad crossings along the highway, and there was no gates activated.
Any possible customers along the way he could be working?

Right, probably working a customer north of 68th St. Magic Steel north of 44th St comes to mind, couple others that might get service too. Sounds like a local works later in the evening switching them. The road freight went south through Byron Center around 7pm per my kiddo at soccer practice.
Grand elk north through Byron Center at 2:38pm. Wamx 4125, wamx 4206 and 25 cars. Looks like fresh maintenance at Buck Creek between 84th and 92nd. Ballast machine was at 76th st spur over the weekend, was gone last night.
Grand elk south through Byron Center at 6:15pm. Wamx 4206, wamx 4125 and wamx 3808 with 24 cars. 18ish short covered hoppers and the rest 3 bay covered hoppers.
Keep an eye on GRE/MQT. The 2104 has been sitting on the end of the interchange track all night with its lights on so I wonder if it’s going on 151 today for its annual

Grand Elk went by the Elkhart cam towards the Elkhart yard at 9:31am with WAMX 4189 and WAMX 4209 leading 24 cars. A mix of box cars, covered hoppers, tank cars and two loaded gondolas.
