There's a Maintainer trouble-shooting a possible broken rail ahead of him. Earlier, Amtrak P371 got his 1st good signal after Gross at the east end of Kirk mp CG70.2

L305-05 pulled engines 5292 and 7027 (power from G804-01) from Webberville on their way back to East Lansing this afternoon. G804's power sits between 8033 and 4045, and their 18 cars. Departing Webberville at 15:30.
While this was going on, ADM crews were loading the empty hoppers with their switcher.

It sounds like 7027 gave G804-01 a lot of trouble. The locomotive reportedly was trail only, has been having persistent PTC issues, and had a dead battery. This is a rebuild, right?
7027's headlights were working both on G804 and when L305 pulled the engines, but I thought both units shared a bus when MUed.
Given the "trail only" status of 7027, I wonder if they intend to wye the set as I imagine replacing batteries is something that could be done at Ensel.

M326 came with 3 DPU capable engines, why not take one of their engines and swap 7027 onto M327 tomorrow?
