Blue GTW 4623 was switching Post Cereal in Battle Creek about 12:30 AM. Don't usually see that CN job at night.

Another new signal mast went up today at CP Baron, this one for e/b right in front of the CAA Bldg/ex-GTW passenger station. Signal bridges in that area probably wont be around much longer.

Late post, but 148 was observed in Port Huron about 0820 yesterday (Friday). From the freeway overpass, I couldn't see any power, which I think was on the east end of the train. At the same time, there were empty scrap gons on the end of an eastbound coming off the Mt Clemens Sub. Again, this was observed from the southbound lanes of I94, and my view of the junction at Tappan was obstructed, but it was interesting to see two trains sitting still at that time of the morning.

:D :| Yes, I just caught this train in Fraser!!!! Southbound 383 had CN C40-8W #2159 and "Zebra Cowl" CN C40-8M #2420 (with "Plated" over Class Lights)! It had 87 cars and came across 14 Mile at 10:27 a.m. I had my "Frozen AZZ" photographing from the ice, behind the factory near 14 Mile close to that good old "Tree!!!!"
 :|

Westbound on Flint Sub, likely nearing Imlay City by now, with Deathstar SD70's 1020 and 1036 trailing what I seem to recall was a zebra striped cowl. No scanner, so no train number.

YESSSS!!!! I photographed northbound train 382 in Fraser, 9:55 a.m. It had CN ES44AC #2921, CN ES44AC #2932, CN C40-8W #2159 and "Zebra Cowl" CN C40-8M #2420 (with "Plated" over Class Lights)! The last two locos were on southbound 383 yesterday!!!! This train had 184 cars!!!! It's the "Second Longest" train that I've ever seen!!!!
(the "Longest" I saw was a northbound with two CN SD75Is and 190 cars, Fraser, 12-28-2014!)

Late: Yesterday (1-30), I was in Ferndale (unsure of loco numbers). There was a northbound (with Boxcars/Auto Racks) with three CN locos, SD70M-2, SD40-2W, SD70M-2 and 63 cars! It crossed Hilton RD around 4:40 p.m. Later, at 6:02 p.m., was a northbound out of Moterm Yard! It had one ES44AC leading with a DPU C44-9W as a "Helper" on the rear!!!! This was very long (did not count)—but I was  "Disappointed" to see the "Red Marker Lights" turned "OFF!!!!" Only the headlight on the nose was dim!! This was CN's first DPU order where they had "Red Marker Lights" installed the right way (not one small light at bottom—like the new ones have)! They have these lights for this purpose—"DPU!!!!" Now, I hope to see this model CN "Helper" with those lights lit next time!!!!

 This photo below shows a "DPU" CN ES44DC with "Red Marker Lights" Illuminated  "Leading" a train (photo by Daniel Tatjenhorst, Staunton, Illinois 5/1/2013): Image
