After no 335 trains on the east end in a couple of days, Q33531 finally arrived at Beck Rd Plymouth @ 19:45 last night and then had to sit there for hours waiting for MofW to clear up as they went two hours over their work authority. Finally made it by Howell at 22:45 with CSX 8526, reported by donnie above, HLCX 6300, CSX 7760+5107 trailing and 151 cars.

Meanwhile, I-33402 had to sit and wait for Q33521 at Fowlerville for 3 hours before they showed up, I-334 made it by Howell at 23:25 with 85 cars. Playing catch up again, Q33501 went west at 03:25 with 171 cars on this one, CSX 8541+ BNSF 4029+9356. Q33501 was recrewed at Williamston by 04:00.

How far east does D708 go? South Lyon?

I Believe that's as far as they go if needed. MR BL2 is probably the local expert as to what they actually do most of the time. I think Ann-Pere might be be as far on a normal basis but not sure.

Not often, but they do turn in South Lyon if they have traffic for Peaker or other customers in the Brighton/ Green Oak area.

From a technical standpoint, GR crews get to service everything to Beck Road. That means if somebody is out there, it would be D708's job. As of now, Peaker is the farthest east for anybody out there. Hence, Green Oak is the limit for D708 currently.

Where is Beck Road?
I've heard it mentioned but I really don't know where it is other than somewhere between Howell and Toledo.

Green Oak?
Not familiar at all. But I gather it is near Peaker.

Green Oak is between South Lyon and Brighton.

Beck Road is where the Plymouth Sub begins and is the end of the double track from Plymouth diamond.

Q327-03 with CSXT 7760 leading west is at Vine CG 92 at 12:22 EDT. 160 axles, 2041 feet at 91.9 DD.

From what I could see it had 2 CSX engines.

160 axles with 2 six axle engines = 37 cars.

Trains are still having to get the OK to go through work limits at CG 96.0 - 96.1.

Regarding the postings on D708 today, they did zero over the road work on this "Good Friday" except to deliver 26 cars to GLC at Ann Pere, and as reported, went back engine light, because there was no Ann Pere pick up today.

Beck Road is not the beginning of the Plymouth Sub, John Hix is. The Plymouth Sub starts at Middle River to the north and John Hix to the south, then west to Grand Rapids.

Nope.

Did not realize this. So what is the name assigned to the trackage fron John Hix south now? Toledo Terminal Sub? Or does that begin at Carleton still?

Sounds like something westbound just called St. Joseph Bridge...

EDIT. Q335-01 cleared St. Joseph bridge at 16:18 EDT westbound.
Clear Hilltop at 16:22 EDT... BNSF 4029 In lead.
At 91.9 DD, clear Vine at 16:26 EDT.

RN's words: Q33501 will be meeting a eastbound coal train at Livingston.

N903 at Paw Paw... I saw them at St. Joe.

Over by old lakeshore drive in St Joe, CG 88.2... Their is a group of kids who put spikes and a bunch of garbage on the tracks, according to the train engineer and conductor. They did not go into emergency, not derail. I saw the group of about 6 kids on the tracks from about a mile away about 5 minutes before the train came. The RN is calling police. The train and RN said they are probably going to get nailed at the next DD.

EDIT: Sounds like the police are on scene, not sure what is going on. And... The RN was just telling someone about what they hit, an it was not just garbage, it was different metal debris.
