Its another DeJaVu all over again for Q335, this time Q335-11 with another heavy long train, who even had three units out of Stanley, but few of them worked right as they had to double the hill to South Lyon one more time. They for sure have to be on crew #2 by now. After arriving in Plymouth around 04:00, they did not leave South Lyon until after 10:00

They have a string of coal loads for MSU on the head end. With the line shut down west of Ensel now, they have left everything but the coal loads at South Lyon, and are coming to Trowbridge to deliver them, and then take the power back to South Lyon for crew #3 to get later in the day. In other words, it won't be in GRP anytime soon.

Train by Howell @10:38 CSX 5350 8135 8570 with 49 cars, all coal loads. Unknown how many others they left in South Lyon. I have seen a unit train for MSU with less cars than that. Another fine CSX day by the sound when all good intentions never seem to turn out well.

Woah!!! Instant memories Dok. Probably nobody else here beside you and I who remember the likes of Joe Van, Bud Davies, Ron Knowles, Dave Schaffer and Tom Shannon spinning the hits of the 50s and 60s. On the other hand, maybe I am dating myself even earlier than you.

To keep this train related, Q335 has not yet returned from MSU eastbound @12:55 yet to start all over again coming west with his other 123 cars he left behind at South Lyon.

So if I wanted to take the kids up to Woodbury or Lake-zero today to see a train is Q335-11 west bound my best shot? Or will something else be through before it gets too late?

As of 4:25pm, Q335-11s train is STILL sitting here at Beck Road and the power is nowhere to be seen, looks like he has a decent cut of sand hoppers on the head-end. Boy, CSX is really living by their "How Tomorrow Moves" slogan arn't they?!

This was one of the reasons I got a good chuckle about how the company was portrayed in Trains. What a puff piece, I have the feeling the operating ratio for CSX is better than the company is actually run operationally...

Even with Amtrak at Vriesland when they called for a signal, D707 is being held at Plaster Creek waiting for them to get by. 707 has 2775 for power. A D006 is on duty at Wyoming and will be taking the 2659 for power somewhere. What I believe was Q334 should be around Fox now. Heard them heading east by Seymour a few minutes ago working hard and whistling but no signals called on the radio at all.
