NS high hood SD40-2 #1580 donated to TVRM
The “Juniata queen” (as some people I know called it) NS high hood SD40-2 #1580 has been donated to the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, it’s currently enroute to Chattanooga as I speak. This is a big deal as this unit had sat in storage at Altoona’s Juniata locomotive shops for well over a decade, and it pretty much became a staple of the Juniata deadline. Not sure if it’s operational or not. Definitely needs some TLC on the outside however from the pictures I’ve seen.

I think this is their first NW unit so it'll be neat when they get it painted up...the TVRM guys are a class act.
