New Acela to enter certification runs soon

The Times report says that train builder Alstom at one point told Amtrak that computer modeling showed the new trains could not run safely on the Northeast Corridor, but the company said it believed it could resolve the problems.
I knew the new Acelas had problems but didn’t know it was as bad as they said. That paragraph I quoted something too that also seems to sum up Amtrak as a whole right now, rushing things and, in this case more likely than not, are going to regret it.

But it’s good that there’s finally a light at the end of the tunnel for the program and they can finally really start pushing them.
