Photo Recovery

Hey everyone, recently i took a trip out to Carleton to document the interlocking tower and ended up catching a double train meet and by dumb luck caught CSX 454 passing with a GTW Auto rack perfectly in frame. On the way back from the trip my camera was bouncing around in my lap and the Nikon D3500 trash bin button is on the bottom of the camera (you can guess what happened next) and I accidentally deleted it. I noticed a skip in the photos while skimming though them and the number of photos listed as being 139 instead of 140 proving I had deleted it. I haven't taken anymore photos so i couldn't have overwritten it but is there any way to recover the photo? If possible, any software recommendations?

I second the Recuva software method. Have used that many times for various recovery purposes.

Disk Drill https://www.cleverfiles.com/data-recovery-software.html is another free one that works well.
