Cropping Help.

Unread post by A No.1 »

Ok, I thought this was going to be fine. I still can't pin a fix for it. Any ideas?

The pole at left is half there and half not, plus maybe a little too much sky?

Image

I would think just a bit tighter like that, but not super close in on the nose of the engine.. and a balance between sky, train, and ballast. That's my idea at least hope it helps, or someone else can help

Ypsi's version is more pleasing, less clutter on the left. Appears to me that the image is tilted a bit to the right. But I like the position of the signals because both of them are visible. Perhaps they would have been happier if the image was tighter (more telephoto) with the locos splitting the signals.

You don't need a special train to make a great train picture.
