Finally.

Thanks for posting this Larry. I've been wondering for a while where they were going to be located.

Haven't been there yet. But I'll bet their rent is higher there than it was on 7 mile. Got to have more room though.

Was there this afternoon. Nice and bright with lots or room and inventory. I'm
going to point people looking for G scale there as they have the most I've seen
in one place in a while. Still doing a little moving in yet but it's about 80% in
place. Plenty of HO, N and O 3-rail. Also some RC, Plastics, Rockets and books
plus scratchbuilding supplies and all the good tools paints and adhesives.

When I was there they also had DR and Chrisracer in house but I wouldn't depend
on those being there all the time. :P
I haven't lost my mind, it's on tape backup here somewhere...

Empire Hobbies is closed. I visited one time and their prices were significantly higher than Great Lakes or P&D. Even though that was shortly after they opened I didn’t go back. Owner was knowledgeable and courteous. Store was clean and well-stocked. But I couldn’t justify paying around 50% more.

Not surprised one bit. I stopped by in April last. The prices were just that - insane. I mean, Old Bluebox locomotives, for 50+ or better... Not a thing was marked down there. They did have a decent supply selection though.

I'll miss them- they were the most reliable local-ish source I had for advance orders and special orders after Michigan Model Train Center closed.
