In the Superman Returns movie, Lex Luthor goon drops a tiny piece of a crystal in a model railroad "lake" a power outage happens to the entire city, the layout experiences a min earthquake, trains derail, and a train runs over a conductor and a giant crystal shoots up from the middle of the layout.

My thoughts: What a waste on money and good model railroad equipment!
