Re: Q385
Recent changes:
Q375 now operates to Willard. Q365 operates Willard-Cincinnati
Q366 now operates Cincinnati-Selkirk via Deshler and Willard, Q342 gone.
It appears Q332 is gone as well.

Re: Q385
Q332 is gone because they eliminated the Greencastle, IN work. CSX is working with the UP to build two trains off the Salem Gateway now, one for Avon and one for points east.bdconrail29 wrote:Recent changes:

Re: Q385
Y@, no it is not. Q371 and Q375 terminate in Willard and Q365 takes the Cincy/Louisvilles off those 2 trains west. Q365 really is like an old Q375 though.

Re: Q385
Q385 is a block swap train to Willard, with Fostoria (to D753) and Toledo (to Q355) traffic .
Q342 still runs.
Q366 ran via Willard so they could have another Cincy train handling Willards, and to allow another outlet for Selkirk traffic out of Willard (with the extra traffic coming out of Indy on Q332, and now Q638). It lasted a week that way, but with Willard so plugged, Q366 is now back to it's Indy Line routing via Crestline.
Q332 still runs St. Louis to Avon, and Q638 is profiled to run St. Louis to Willard, but often terminates in Avon. It seems like they keep changing Q686/687 to originate/terminate in Cincinnati or Avon almost weekly.
Avon and Willard are both in bad shape, with both terminals almost always plugged or in bad shape. There always seems to be westbounds staged at Collinwood waiting for room. Hopefully the brains in Jacksonville come up with something because the current plan isn't working well, and that's why you are seeing changes so often lately. We have a nice unused hump yard 300 miles east of Willard that could be a nice relief valve if they would spend a little money and put their pride aside and admit they screwed up. Flat switching in a hump yard combined with all of the newer rules make it so unproductive to switch cars.

Re: Q385
Its been a rumor for a while. Lots of people at CSX want it open, but top management is telling us there is no money to fix up and reopen the hump. They have hired 40 guys so far this year, and 50 more are coming by year end. I hope something positive happens, but like anything with the railroads, and especially CSX, I'll believe it when I see it.
Re: Q385
Keep Avon supplied with locomotives, and we run just fine. When power gets short, that is when we start to backup.cr7535 wrote: Avon and Willard are both in bad shape, with both terminals almost always plugged or in bad shape.
