What are the stacks for on this unit? I take it they are for a genorator unit?

I would venture to get guess that they're exhaust for the HEP engine.

Yes stacks, with mufflers are for HEP. If you are refering to the stacks between the first and last fans, those are exhaust stacks for the prime mover.

I was indeed refering to the ones that actually look like a regular automovtive stack. I know what the main exhuast looks like.
