Re: CSX MI Train Location Update 6-02-09
X500 cleared Plymouth diamond just after 21:30. CP9802 leading 24 autoracks, 10 hoppers, 2 single stacks, 2 double stacks, and 3 boxes. Earlier, K356 had CSX xxxx + 8156 and 90 empties. (Bill was going to report it so he has the lead engine) More than likely CSX 9052, it and 8156 took K357 west on ...

Re: 765 RIDES AGAIN !!!!!!!!!
Wish they'd put the dual sealed-beam headlight and MARS light back on 765, looks too much like 1225 without them.

Re: CSX MI Train Location Update 6-02-09
K356's outbound crew is called for 1430, Q326 and X500 are also in the yard, CP 9802 leading 500, never saw Q326's power. Am not sure how Q326 was still in the yard at 222pm, when he was by Howell before 3pm. Power was 501-7805. Well that explains why I never heard them! Never saw or heard anything...

Re: New Railroad In Michigan !!!!!
Just got my July issue of Trains Magazine. There is a new 123 mile railroad from Grand Rapids to Elkhart called Grand Elk Railroad. This is sure to have rail photo buffs flocking to Grand Rapids. Hell, I'm going. If you want to see Grand Elk action, I'd go to Kalamazoo. They're much busier down the...

Look at the detail on that shell. Factory ditch lights!!!! Though it's doubtful a CN GP40-2LW made it to Grand Rapids in the GTW days, I think I'm going to get one anyway.

Thanks Fred. I wish I could've seen steam engines working regular trains everyday. Oh well, atleast we have places like SRI that keep machines like 1225 operable for new generations like me!

Re: Blue Compact
Yes, it is a great place to watch trains. When i was a kid my friends and I would hang out and play in the area that used to be a swamp just east of the diamond for hours at a time. Back then the old "over the track" signal was still used for the GT. Are railfans not allowed to sit at that dirt lot...

Re: Fear N Loathing in North Judson
I'll be at Trainfest, but I'll be "lurking", staying away from Owosso as much as possible, only chasing the steamers when they leave. I'll probably put on my waders and make my way to SRI once to get pictures of everything there, then back to badlands for me.
