CPKC Livery Options

Saw this being posted about on Trainorders, supposedly CPKC employees get to vote on these 5 options for a new livery. Here's the link to the Facebook post with the pics.

EB stopped at east Durand. 2 CNs and mixed freight, plus 6 flatcars with intermodal containers on them on the end of the train.

Re: CN joins UP and Ferromex for new I/M Service

I haven't seen anything about new trains since the start date, so I'm guessing anything new is tacked onto pre existing intermodal trains. Has there been a noticeable increase in train length due to UP/FMX containers, or has the new business been minimal so far?

Re: CN Train Location Updates - May 2023

Holly Subdivision Report for Sunday: 251 went by around 11:45 am. He didn't seem to be 3000 feet long and was flying. 116 went past around 1:30 pm. Racks then stacks. 507 and Amtrak 355 passed each other around Opdyke Road at 5:35 pm. 507 was also flying by with a short train, double stacks on the ...

Are there very many trains running over 7500 feet in Michigan?
CN runs some pretty big trains. I don't always count the cars, but I'd say ones over 7500 feet are at least fairly common around Durand. Can't speak for CSX/NS/CP and the shortlines though.

Legislator wants to limit train length/crew size

Dunno if this is old news for anybody, but I don't see a thread for it so here ya go. Senator Erika Geiss introduced a couple bills that would limit train size in Michigan to 7500 feet and maintain require at least two man crews for freight trains. Obviously there's some opposition to this. https://...

Re: CP to Buy KCS

This may be a dumb question, but-- over who's track did CP get to K.C.? I know SOO and MILW were in Chicago, but did they use MILW's west from Chicago, or SOO's, or did they go south from the Twin Cities, or was another routing involved? IIRC, all of CP's lines east of the Twin Cities, including ar...

Re: GLC / AA Merger WHAT IF

Correct me if I'm wrong, but IIRC GLC runs two local turns on their line between Cadillac and Owosso, with them meeting in Clare and swapping trains before returning to their respective terminals. Could something similar happen between Owosso and Toledo? Maybe have a southbound out of Owosso and a n...

Re: Trains that used to run along the Plymouth and Grand Rapids subs

I know you asked for post 2000 symbols, but if you are at all curious about the late 90s, this website has a pretty extensive list of CSX/CP trains around Plymouth, including trains that ran on the east end of the Plymouth Sub. There are two lists, before Conrail and after Conrail. The link to the p...

Re: CN Updates: November 2022

Looks like there's a new live camera in Griffith, Indiana. I'm not sure if every eastbound South Bend Sub train goes to Michigan, but I'd imagine it might be useful for tracking at least some Michigan bound trains. For those who might not know, using the left side of the screen for reference - the S...
