Said beer-
Comes into St. Louis on AEGAS from Eagle Pass, TX on the Mex border. Then onto Proviso on MASPR. The above trip on MASPR, I had 43 loads of imported beer and liquor in my train.

Re: UP Derails in Weber Canyon.
Train #2 pulled up to a red intermediate signal behind train #1 and stopped (descending grade). Then kicked the air off to move up, and didn't get a full charge on the train line before setting the air again once approaching the train. So, he "pissed his air away", enough so, that they weren't able ...

Re: CSX Locomotive Roster News & YN3B Repaint Thread
Got a question regarding CSX 2547. Built as SCL 547, why does this unit have an oddball nose door on the engineer's side? I spotted it in another photo being worked on in Avon. I know out of any of you, the CSX Encyclopedias would! ;) http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=2745003 Rem...

Re: Why don't they lock the doors
Since Lac-Megantic, UP now requires us to lock the doors when securing a train at an outlying location. They have supplied those in need with a key for the padlock. It is the old SP key (looks like a CSX key). When a unit has a padlock which is not used for years, the trick is to get the lock unlock...

Scratch built by the New Brunswick Southern from bulkhead flats. Same goes for the woodchip hoppers in front of them.

Couldn't find my photos, so I went over to Danville Thursday to get some new shots of the Hillery Yard area. Some of my favorite abandoned "equipment". Just saw MMRR 2018 (ex MS 73) yesterday in its fresh new colors. Makes the sw1200 look pretty sharp. The contractors painted EVERYTHING, Including the engine compartment, engine block, and inside the cab. She will look good rolling around Muskegon. :D Interesting they numbered it in the 2000-series...

Re: What is the coolest abandoned equipment you have seen
My favorite is the 10-track Hillery Yard in Danville, IL. CSX technically owns this former CR (P&E) yard but doesn't use it as the track west of there is gone. Yard tracks are quite long, close to a mile; yard office/tower still stand as well. I can't seem to find my photos at the moment and even th...

This is amazing, and unfortunately, more of this seems to be happening. Two sets of red lights flashing in your face (magnified by the dark and the rain), working ditch lights, working headlights, three different bells and a three chime horn, and he didn't see it? I see so much of this in my travel...

Re: D700 Switching Standale Lumber
CSX_CO is not trying to refute what you're saying, he's just giving you the facts. D700 IS the only mainline local service on the GR Sub. It is a bulletined 220 mile day, that's what their pay is based off. If they run past their bulletined turning point (Sawyer), it's more money for the crew. On UP...
