Re: Shortline Train Location Updates - June 2022

30-35 sand hoppers. I am not aware of that many loads going out at one time in a very long time. 30-35 sand hoppers and 5 tanks. I am not sure if they were loaded, but if they are, hopefully going to oil and gas production sites. I did a car trace of what appeared to be a cut from the MS. Loaded to...

Rubber tire to Chicago and the whole North American continent is your market. I talked to one of the Mosaic guys 25 years ago. He said the smaller the package the ...

Re: Railbike conversion

The first one is great to get off the track if you get surprised by a train. The second one is a bail off and watch the train destroy it. I wouldn't try to take it off unless the train was quite a ways away.

Re: Daily Uploads

How did you like the hike up "my hill" :) ? I laid that all out so the Favreau's would have a nice buildable lot with that view. I'm surprised they didn't build a new house there and then sold their house on the east end of the property. Mr Favreau was a pleasure to deal with acquiring the ROW to bu...

Seen on FB, King Milling has shipped the first cars of flour from Lowell to Pringles in TN this week. Supposed to be just a few cars at a time initially. Using ACFX pneumatic cars. CSX lost one of the inbound empties LOL

There’s a LOT of crossings in Oakland County that need help
The RR's are responsible from 1 foot outside the ties to 1 foot outside the tines. The highway authority is responsible for the rest of the road.

Re: Where Is It?

The property and building was owned by DeBruyn Produce in 1969 when 100th St was rebuilt all-weather from the tracks to US 131. That tells me DeBruyn was trucking out a lot of produce. I vaguely remember either the installation of the siding or a rehab of the siding when DeBruyn owned it. This was a...
