30-35 sand hoppers. I am not aware of that many loads going out at one time in a very long time. 30-35 sand hoppers and 5 tanks. I am not sure if they were loaded, but if they are, hopefully going to oil and gas production sites. I did a car trace of what appeared to be a cut from the MS. Loaded to...

Throw this in the equation. Table salt = small packages. Set up a packaging plant on site. Mosaic / Cargill did for their salt products. Rubber tire to Chicago and the whole North American continent is your market. I talked to one of the Mosaic guys 25 years ago. He said the smaller the package the ...

Re: Railbike conversion
The first one is great to get off the track if you get surprised by a train. The second one is a bail off and watch the train destroy it. I wouldn't try to take it off unless the train was quite a ways away.

I'm surprised they didn't build a new house there and then sold their house on the east end of the property. Mr Favreau was a pleasure to deal with acquiring the ROW to bu...

The property and building was owned by DeBruyn Produce in 1969 when 100th St was rebuilt all-weather from the tracks to US 131. That tells me DeBruyn was trucking out a lot of produce. I vaguely remember either the installation of the siding or a rehab of the siding when DeBruyn owned it. This was a...
