Re: Historical photos from the Ann Arbor News of AA railroads

Re: Metra buying battery-powered trainsets

note that ireland winters more mild than ours. always get a laugh when people point out how reliable the brightline units are compared to the amtrak midwest units. not much cold and snow in florida. the cold and snow are real problems that vehicle builders don't seem to grasp very well. hello tesla ...

Re: Metra buying battery-powered trainsets

Q-line Detroit had to shut down January, 2019. Batteries couldn't provide propulsion and heat in the record breaking cold. Trying to charge the batteries was also problematic. Good luck Chicago, I'm sure you will need it. https://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/detroit/2019/01/31/qline-servi...

they're going to move but don't know where. they've had time to formulate plan b and haven't. they're in a less than top dollar location. it's going to be hard find affordable commercial nearby. wish them luck but they put too much time in plan a which was staying put. edit: article in paywalled fre...

This is a state owned line. Wonder how many boxes this group checked off on the "inclusivity" scale to get the operating contract?
being oklahoma, likely none.
that has nothing to do with blatant disregard of rules and more importantly, safety.

Re: Future of the Plymouth Sub/Grand Rapids Sub

I think something important to note is that CPKC hasn’t confirmed they want to purchase the Plymouth sub, I do think it is highly plausible but for right now the only reason they are mandating CSX to fix the Plymouth sub is so if they do buy it is in good condition. Sorry if someone already said th...
