I'm guessing you heard NS 121 going through Milwaukee Junction. No CN 121s around here.

At about 19:10, I heard (via scanner) that a NB train either at or near YD (either 332 or 334) was instructed, in the NS dispatcher's words to "set off the mother and the slug" at River Rouge. The dispatcher asked the train crew for help figuring out what that terminology meant.

I think the Arkona Siding is along the NS Detroit District (Wabash Line) from Arkona Rd northeast to near Goodling Rd. Not far northeast of Milan. Not sure about the Rawsonville Spur.

Yes, one of those extra intemodal trains that appear from time to time and can have a variety of different symbols.

As far as the actual location of the rail line, I looked on the USGS Historical Topographic Map Explorer and snipped this image, but I don't know the answers to your other questions:

That was my take also. Unloaded on this new spur in Monroe, then transported north (on the Shoreline Sub maybe?) to the track that leads to Fermi.

As of 14:50, a probable M382 is NB between Milwaukee Junction and Forest Lawn. It'll probably meet L533 at Mount Clemens. There is a SB stopped at Aubin that came through Mount Clemens sometime before 14:00. The SB is likely waiting for Amtrak to turn north on to the Holly Sub.
