Re: CN says goodbye to Baraga
When was the last time Baraga actually had a rail served customer? I have always wondered about that. By the way, go get ‘em Mike H (regarding transload opportunities - if anyone can, it’s Mike H!!) I believe the last customer was Beese which loaded pulpwood behind the now closed Terex Handlers pla...

Endeavor was already a joint venture between Ceres Solutions and Co-Alliance. Interesting development nonetheless.

Re: Unidentified Alco road switcher/KLSC passenger car.
In the better-than-expected news department, I don’t believe the MC/NYC RPO car was scrapped. I’m 99% sure it’s the one at the National NYC RR Museum in Elkhart. I was not expecting to have a reason to reference a random NYC Museum newsletter I just happened to come across recently for this thread,...

Well that answers the question as to what happened to the Lansing Board of Water & Light RS1 (Ex-Washington Terminal 60)... https://www.railroadmichigan.com/bwl02s2.jpg https://www.railroadmichigan.com/bwl02.jpg The KLSC passenger car was likely on its way to Paw Paw as that operation ran from 1987 ...

Looks like 3492 was one of the two IBCX SD40-2s that were being stored on the Indiana Northeastern last summer: http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=6104088 Mineral Range also has IBCX 3460: https://www.flickr.com/photos/53909555@N08/53244836258/in/pool-1513119@N23/ ISLX GP10 1345 wa...

Re: ADBF/JAIL Changes Made Under New Ownership
Does anyone know the GTW road number of the former RPO that was retrieved from the end of the line the other week and brought down to the interchange? Is it also going to CPMY with the coaches? I’d like to do a little research on it and have a soft spot for postal rail equipment. The numbers are co...

Everywhere West Locomotive Leasing (EWLX) was apparently the previous operator of the BNGR. They are not related to BUGX.

Re: Little River 50th Anniversary Excursion
Looks like the folks in Coldwater plan to celebrate their 50th year in operation with a doubleheader. Not sure how far they plan to go but they announced it on their Facebook this morning. It takes place on Sunday, April 21st. Congrats to the Little River folks on 50 years of excursions! We invite ...

No, shuttle wagon is not permanent. It was returned as soon as we got our locomotive. Also the scrap yard has no ownership in the RER. The owner of the scrap yard is an equal partner in RER. Prairie Mills is our other customer. Appreciate all of the info! Is the current locomotive LTEX 1434 GP15-1?

3) This was Wick's lumber for years until it closed. Used to receive center beams, bulkhead flats, and box cars in the TSBY days. I recently stumbled on an eBay listing for a 1960s postcard photo of Wickes Lumber in Grawn (note the two boxcars: Norfolk & Western and Canadian Pacific): s-l1600.jpg H...

Why are you not looking at the Wiki for this? All of your answers are already posted there... The Wiki sucks. It's fine and good they listed every possible train in the system, but would be nice if there was some Michigan Sub-sections in there. Ctrl+F ", MI " 192 results just for Michigan. Imagine ...

Re: Jackson, MI Q&A
Thank you NS3322. You're doing a nice job with the Wiki. I update it too but usually post at the Website Threads before doing so to confirm the information. The Wiki is very good but doesn't go into how many cars each customer ships. That's what I was hoping to learn from Nick. All that info is on ...
