Re: GTW GP9 4913 Help anyone?
Thanks to the new found inspiration of Railroadfan.com. I got the head light assembly back together. http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af169/JUST_AARON/IMG_7043.jpg One light housing was broken and I had to find a replacement. Pyle-National has been bought out at least once. So Trans-Light now hol...

MC coaling tower @ Agusta.
We see many photos of the Michigan Central coaling tower @ Agusta built in 1922 I beleive. Does any one have photo's of it when it was still active? It would be neat to see photos of Michigan Central steam under it.

Re: Help i can not take good picture
Good advice for the most part, but I wont agree with the "dont shoot in the clouds" notion at all. Sun can make a picture better (and generally does), but clouds give you more angles to shoot from that are many times far more interesting. Sun (to be completely honest, hear me out) actually hinders ...

Re: RailPictures & 35mm ?????
I hope I didn't come off sounding full of myself. That's why I edited the post. I just think my photo, THE SUBJECT, is not bad and worthy of being on there. But I agree and thought the same thing. Each guy that looks at it will have a different opinion.

Re: RailPictures & 35mm ?????
Back to my point. I had good lighting, Good framing, the only thing this photo is getting rejected for is quality of the scan. Scan of a 35mm photo. See, I don't think they have a problem with the photo itself, Its the processing they have the problem with. Its back to how much money you spend on ge...

Re: Help i can not take good picture
I am by far no expert on photography, I cant get a photo on Railpictures, but I like trains and taking photos of them. Anyway, Ive been learning alot about planning out your shot. I used to go to some random spot on the tracks and If I saw a train I would try to get a photo of it. Some Ok photos com...

Re: RailPictures & 35mm ?????
Just Aaron, I think your shot is great even if railpictures doesn't. I've thought about submitting photos on here several times, but then I remembered that I like my train photos, and I don't need a couple big headed guys to tell me my stuff isn't good or interesting enough. Besides, I don't have t...

They should list that as one of the selling points. A railfan might snap it up. LoL.Mark F wrote:This house is located right next to CSX at MP 129.3 west of Clarksville.

Heres the new Rejection. I used GIMP to adjust color and contrast. Too Much Noise/Grain: Noise is the digital equivalent of grain. It looks like you went too far in the other direction. Too dark now, which will certainly expose some noise in the darker areas if the image. Can you post the link to t...

Re: Want to live close to the tracks?
I thought my Dad in Pennsylvania had it good. The back door of his house is roughly 60feet off the Norfolk Southern Northeast Corridor. Actually I think its called the East Pen Corridor, anyway Its awEsome. His back yard is at the exact spot that the head end of the trains sit while waiting for clea...
