Best time to catch trains in Battle Creek is in the A.M.
CN runs their stuff around the morning Wolverine and Bluewater
Amtrack trains. I go down there about once a month or so.

Are capacity problems for the Grand Elk getting worse? I go by the yard
on US-131 in Grand Rapids every afternoon and today the place was stuffed.

Went to Wyoming yard after church and #24 MMRR is still there. Also
still there was a C.P. potash train at the east end of the yard waiting
to be re-crewed. What is this train doing here? anyone? Bueller?

Q334/Q335 was another cost cutting move this spring. Closing the locomotive shops and
eliminating refueling at Wyoming Yards was another. Most GRR traffic is now coming out of
Barr on Q326/Q327. There is track work being done between Fennville and Holland.

at 14:30 this afternoon with 3 units, dash 8, gp-38-2 2639 and an sd50.
Not much power in the yard today.

WYOMING YARD CHANGES
The engine house at Wyoming Yard is closed. Refueling is now being done at Barr yd. in Chicago or other terminals. Sometimes there is hardly any power in Wyoming yards due to units being sent out for refueling. On Mothers day I observed a light engine move from Chicago with NS 9766 leading 4 CSX Gee...
