Anybody have any knowledge on the history of the boxcars used at the Holland Padnos yard as fencing? They are presently dark green and appear to be rather aged. Best visible on Google maps at the W 6th ST dead end.

Either the neighbors are playing a clarinet with a split reed or Amtrak and their wacky new jazz horn just cruised east through Grandville.

Looks like D 700 rolled a couple cars over on Viaduct St in Grandville.

Heard 327 blowing for Ivanrest a couple times as they stacked up this morning. Clearly a big train. There was no doubt something was amiss when that knuckle went. You would’ve thought Le Grand Castle dropped their roof.

There were a handful of single stack intermodal cars loaded with 19 foot containers on the tail end of 327 tonight. It made for an interesting consist.

Wood TV is running a story that they’re expanding and adding 200 jobs. That’s a lot of cookies.

Was east bound 196 and saw 327 leaving the yard. Looked like a pair of SD40s, but who knows. No car count either. Enjoy the weather.

D700 came east through Holland with 2048 in the lead around 1015. Had an interesting consist of boxes, gravel hoppers (MOW?), BNSF hoppers, and a CP hopper. I believe it was also D700 that I heard run through Gville around 445 this morning.

Great news! Here I was thinking the footage was lost to the ages, or changing technology. Growing up, this show and Rescue 911 were appointment television for me. I hope that this culturally important material can be placed on YouTube for all to enjoy sometime soon. Thanks for the replies.

CSX 4042 was the leader. I counted 54 cars, estimating 1/3 of them were tanks. Hoppers and gons rounded out the remainder of the consist, the exception being 2 empty lumber and a few boxes

Anyone seen any activity at the Grandville PCA switch recently? It appears that since the expansion of the truck docks rail service has dwindled, or ceased.

Sounds like 327 is currently putting the train together at Ivanrest. I imagine they will head west shortly. Horn sounds good in the cool, clear air.

I just saw four locomotives go west, through Grandville. I didn't see any numbers.
