What train was CSXT 597 and 161 on today? My Dad caught them on a coal train crossing Holmes Rd just east of MA heading westbound.

Why would it go to Saginaw? If they were going to pull it from where it is now seems like they would want to leave it at Cavanagh or even take it all the way to Jackson. That is assuming that the brakes have been repaired; but you know what happens when you assume.

So is 1225 going to do the Polar Express run and then run down to Durand? How is that going to work for those of us who know nothing about this event.

The ALCo is no longer in the yard. I don't know if CSX or NS pulled it or if it got shoved back into the yard but it's no longer on the interchange track.

I will be chasing 1225s Polar Express train that day and it's on my way home so I will swing by.

Not really.

I took a tour of the facility in late July with the NMRA and I must say when the take a 48' well car and make it a 40' well car it's quite impressive.

For those who don't know the Lansing show is at the MSU pavilion. The gates open at 10:00. Vendor check-in starts at 7:00.

I will be there at 6am. I am a member of the LMRC and will be working the show.
