Now how can Amtrak have equipment problems? They received new locomotives and received a whole bunch of new passenger cars for Midwest service, which we paid for. I think the main problem is management. Too bad the State does not hold the poor Amtrak management accountable.

Well since the State owns the tracks it would make sence for the State to at least maintain the track for future possible industry. For Cherry Growers it keeps the truckers honest. hopefully the new GLC marketing man will be as aggressive as the marketing people on the LSRC and drum up new business.

As I understand it the CSXT could not handle the business. Empty cars not returned in a timley manner, loades not delivered in a timley manner so cars sent out and the rest of the bottom ash will be trucked futher damaging our roads.

Before Covid we generally had 25-30 people show up to a Wednesday meeting. Some meetings have been in the 40's and even had one that was 60.
