Re: Plymouth Train app for blocked streets
I grew up in Plymouth but left in the late 1960's when my Uncle Sam requested my services for several years. I remember reading articles in the Plymouth Mail (remember that?) about C&O engineers getting ticketed for blocking crossings. I guess that it's still a problem.

Re: Partner for Historic Train Depot
Hi I am a lurker here, but this post caught my eye. This reminds me of the old train depot in Dunedin Florida. The old depot is next to a bicycle path (ex Seaboard-Coast/ ex CSX). The depot is a town historical museum. Right next to it is a small coffee shop in an old Boxcar where I sometimes hang o...

Re: CSXT Plymouth Subdivision Never Seen Before Video Footag
Thank you for posting the Plymouth Sub videos. I used to live in Plymouth until 1967 and was a train buff. Back then we walked to Middle and High School and would cut across or along the tracks on our way. I'm also old enough to vaguely remember steam. My model railroading is C&O mid to late 50's in...

Re: Pere Marquette Questions
I grew up in Plymouth in the 50's. I seem to remember seeing one or two semaphores around Novi somewhere.

Re: ICC Accident Reports 1911-1994
Boxcar54 - Are you talking about a car-train accident? The Northville Library has recently posted online archives of the Northville Record. You can try searching the paper to see if they listed anything. In skimming the paper, I've seen a number of articles about accidents on the C&O, mostly involv...

Re: ICC Accident Reports 1911-1994
The site works but I am unable to find any information about a collision I saw on the C and O between Northville and Novi sometime in the late 50's -early 60's. There was a picture of it in either the Detroit News or Times with a brief article stating 2 people were killed. For the life of me, I can'...

Re: Northville Hospital
When I was a kid in Plymouth in the 50's and 60's we used to walk there there all the time before the houses were built. Back then we called it Waterford Lake. Some of my friends went swimming there although I'm not sure just how clean the water was. We used to walk along the spur and cross the neat...
