I googled Tawas News, and looked at all of the online newspapers that I could find, but I didn't see anything on the derailment. I'll keep checking the Alpena News. So Patrick, this happened to train 327 Saturday (EARLY) Morning?

Thanks Charles.

Yes, they are taken in Alpena.

As for the 1195, it is still sitting out in the yard coupled to the 646. No work on it whatsoever.

Lake State Updates

Here are a few updates: 9/1/06: I stopped by the yard, to try and catch the 469 at work. I'll let the pictures speak for the answer. http://www.railroadfan.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10204/normal_IMG_1805.JPG http://www.railroadfan.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10204/normal_IMG_1804.JPG http://www.ra...

The only thing that I ask is that, if you could, please take LOTS of pictures and please post them. Other than that, follow the #1 rule:

HAVE FUN!

Once again, the 469 hides on me: Updated with pictures

I went to the yard this morning (just got back) and, as usual, the 469 hid on me. But then again, the 2052, an engine that I haven't seen in a very long time, was working the yard. I did feel that my pictures looked a little rushed, but most of them turned out ok. The ol' GP38M sounded great. ...

Saturday-Today Railfanning

I have done quite a bit of Railfanning since Saturday, so here is a day to day rundown of my adventures. Oh yes, and before I forget, Patrick, the 1195 is either in the shops, or down south! :D Saturday: I had a commitment in the TC area, but no railfanning (or trains for that matter). Here are my n...

Woa Patrick! Nice drawing, and nice scheme you made up. Any SD90 should be proud to wear this paint scheme. Now, I hear that there are some "old" UP SD90s for sale (hint, hint, Marquette!). Great idea though.

Actually, I think that the cropping on picture 2 is nice, seeing as it shows the train, plus the direction that the track goes. I'd say to put this one in the first batch.

Summer's Best

The end of the summer is here, whether your excited or depressed (most likely depressed). So what was the key railroading highlights of your summer? Mine are: Well in Mid-July, I took a trip down to BC and Saginaw. I only saw one train, but it was still fun: http://www.railroadfan.com/gallery/albums...

Amazing pictures (As always). But how did you get ISO 456 on Q161? I thought that the S2IS's highest ISO setting was 400.

UP "We can'T handle it!"

Hmmmm. Now what is that phrase that UP has, Building America? How the heck are they building America with a photo ban.

Gregg, I am going to join you in saying UP SUCKS! I'm glad that they are the WORST Class 1, $ wise.

Not the best week for the 326 crew.

This week was NOT a good week for the Lake State crew of train 326, the southbound train to Bay City. First, Monday, the 798 breaks down at Werth Road (I saw it). Before that, the 798 almost ran over a 9 year old 2 mile before it broke down. Then today, I caught the 326 at the Soccer fields. I stood...
