Just had an east bound through Woodbury @ 0854. Must have been in the hole in Lako. Picked a bad morning not to bring the scanner with me. W068 Maybe?

Don't have the scanner (over at Grandma's) just had a west bound through Woodbury. 08:28. Q335 17 maybe?

Something is passing through Woodbury now. I don't have the scanner on. I'm guessing D707. Sounds westbound though so maybe not.

I don't ever remember seeing the eastern coal that used to go west through Woodbury all the time ever having helpers. We still see the westbound loads occasionally and they don't have pushers. Maybe the tonnage and train length on these western coal trains is greater.

Rode the Wolverine from Chicago to Battle Creek back in May when my flight home from O'hare canceled. Left Union Station right on time and arrived in Battle Creek three minutes early. It was a great trip all the way around.

I honestly don't remember the exact date the rails were pulled. I know they were gone in 2009. I was thinking it was earlier but then things run together in my mind.

Was just in Ionia today. The depot is still standing. Looks good. Of course the tracks are gone and have been for several years now. The depot is being used by a business but I'm not sure which one. There was a neon 'open' sign in one of the doors/windows.

Can somebody tell me a little about K901 03. I don't see it in the WIKI. I gather it is a stone train headed for Grand Rapids.

Is it still tied down east of Lansing or is it moving again?
