Harrisburg, Rockville Bridge & Enola Pennsylvania

Continuing from Dave's Horseshoe curve report. While Dave went back home, I continued on east to the Harrisburg area where I grew up. I'm origionally from York, but lived for a while in Harrisburg so I had to check out the area after being away for 15+ years. Harrisburg station was full of memories ...

I'm a Nikon kind of guy, and when it came time to buy my daughter a small camera that she could use at all her teen age stuff, but still go out and shoot with aperture or shutter priority or even full manual when it was time to shoot serious, I bought her....a Canon. 'Nuff said.

Here's some of my night stuff http://www.railroadfan.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=237 Some of the files have the exif info so you can see what happened in the camera. I use aperture priority and let the camera pick the shutter speed, unless I'm going for a blur shot. The, I'll set the shutter an...

The Michigan law has just been changed but has not gone into effect yet. You will be able to carry scanners as long as you are not usung them while doing a crime. A lot of other states have these laws and the best way to get around them is to get an amateur radio license. This federal license trumps...

It was a dark and stormy night.

OK, so it wasn't stormy :P but it was dark. But then that's the way it usually is at night. I thought I'd post some shots from 9/11/05 when it was still warm enough to spend all night outside taking pictures. It's been a little too cool (read frickin cold) to do this lately. Hope you enjoy. http://w...

Thanks for the comments guys. I think I'm going to enjoy myself here. Like Dave, I'm a refugee from Railroad Forums even though I'm still on staff over there. I'm just tired of the PNW focus over there and want to see stuff from my area of the country. And it looks like it'll be here. By the way, if...

Morning in Berea

Spent a little of Sunday morning in Berea. Had a couple of fun things go by, like this EMD lease unit. We see these mostly on the Wheeling, so one on the CSX was fun. http://www.railroadfan.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10118/DSC_1993%2CCSX%20EMDX%2C8147%206301%2CSD40-2%2CBerea%2C%2C.jpg http://www.ra...
