Re: Jackson-Lansing Railroad

Now I can't speak about railroad rules, etc, but "foamer fotaug", you sound very angry most any railroader, especially non-union shortline guys/ladies. How about telling us who you are- are you a railroader currently? I can't take a word you say seriously until I know what experience you have/had in...

Re: Watching U Kelly.

MIGN Todd, I'll eventually geto to scanning them and posting. They brought in an empty tank car to the gas company could transfer gas from their big tank as they had to do work on the tank. Once the work was complete, they put the gas right back in the big tank, and TSBY took the tank back out empty.

Re: Watching U Kelly.

TSB, I'll have to scan my prints I took of TSBY back in the late 90's and early 2000's. I even took a pic back in the late 80's of the RS-3(??) #466 pushing an LP tank car from Grawn west to the propane dealer at the end of the line...

Re: Storage Car Redux 1-8-11

I guess Amtrak did implement the high speed service on the MAW afterall, which is why they had to remove the storage cars...

Re: MaW Daily Reports

Great job Railohio. I'll hit the "Donate" button and don't $5 to this board in your name. You other MAW chasers, you still qualify! I just want to see pics of the unique operation (in that they have long trains and crappy track, LOL). Just donated: Railroadfan.com $5.00 $5.00

Thanks for the update, maybe a new customer for MAW? And don't worry, I was not going to ask if you were able to take photos yet. Would say no such thing. Really.

Re: GLC in TC today

FYI, train was in Traverse City again today. Also, went to Walton- there are cars on the north leg of the TC wye, and they are the storage junk cars that were in TC a couple weeks ago. We are good!

Re: GLC in TC today

If you were on M113 at the crossing just off 131, you probably saw cars on the passing siding, as you really can't easily see if there were cars on the wye legs. And, they use the south leg of the wye to go to Traverse City most always (from the south), so it is possible they could store some cars o...

GLC in TC today

GLC just headed south out of Traverse City with two engines and an empty centerbeam. Engineer gave a nice wave as they went by me. And here is my first attempt at posting a photo of my own on this site. Sorry about the quality- last minute seeing them (so on wrong side for better lighting) and phone...

Re: CSX ( MI ) TRAIN LOCATION UPDATES DEC 16,2010

Doc, I just got off the phone with the CEO of CSX, advising him of the concerns about the CSX power condition. He said he has new power (new to CSX) on the way in the form of 50 of these: http://www.google.com/url?source=imgres&ct=img&q=http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3492/3906979129_1bfe44ba76.jpg&s...

Re: F.Y.I., G.L.C. in T.C. today

If you read their web site, they only locate on rail lines, and in fact build anew location in WI that was on a rail line, but needed a long spur to their place (like the Gaylord scrap place). They seem very dedicated to rail. So that's good for us- I mean for GLC.

I wonder- coming from Yuma sad pit? Seems not likely, otherwise it would just be trucked. Maybe another source? Let's get more traffic for the TC branch!
