Re: Elimination of NS 256/255 in June?

Allow me to enlighten y’all: 255 is always at night and runs during normal time span (between 1-3am) since it’s always fresh out of Oakwood Yard (which for those who don’t know, is 15 minutes east of Romulus). 256 is always very unpredictable because it is by no means a premium train and gets held a...

Is the CN OCS running the Flint sub today? One of my buddies shot it at Griffith this morning and he was unsure as to where it was going.

L515 southbound by Royal Oak at 5:24 with a nice size train. I couldn’t get the engine number but I’m pretty sure it was 5417 up front. 515 until further notice is now an evening/night time train due to trackwork on the Mount Clemens Subdivision. They also appear to be doing L513’s work in Pontiac ...

CN L573 - Flat Rock, Michigan

https://youtu.be/3hQyEGnUW1s?si=VoyzQVY1qk_A4jfz

A quick find that I filmed down at the mouth of CN’s Flat Rock yard. The Flat Rock-Rockwood switcher.

If someone can name the industries the cars came from it would be appreciated :)

Not Chysler anymore--- first it was:
DAIMLER- CHRYSLER. then
FIAT- CHRYSLER. now it's
STELLANTIS. Next it will be
G O N E.
You can thank my dad for Daimler/Chrysler split in 2007.

He helped orchestrate it.

West Olive coal train question

What siding (or sidings) are used to tack on helper power for the eastbound runs, and are they at all accessible? I have a video in production that I would like footage of the helpers being put on the trains to tackle Saugatuck hill.

I shot the 256 at 5:30am a few werks ago and several other times in the daylight. Timing can vary by a lot.

Ferris State University Sigma Pi lost in fire

This maybe a little something different for me to post here, but this deserves some attention. This morning I woke up to some heartbreaking news that Sigma Pi, one of the fraternities at Ferris State University, burned down in a devastating fire in the early hours of today (6/5/24). Thankfully, no i...
